When it comes to fishing, we know our stuff! We are a third generation family owned and operated business that goes back to 1952! Our primary business is fishing for Prince Edward Island’s world-renowned lobster, and when we aren’t busy doing that we enjoy spending our time taking out guests to experience what it’s like to be a fisherman! Campbell’s Deep Sea Fishing is located on the Gulf of St. Lawrence in picturesque Covehead Harbour, located within the Prince Edward Island National Park.
When you step aboard our vessel, Morning Mist X, you’ll be greeted by our passionate and friendly crew. Once everyone is settled onboard we will head to out to the fishing grounds in search of cod, mackerel and bass. It doesn’t matter what your skill level is, we will show you the ropes and you will be reeling in fish in no time! In addition to our Deep Sea Fishing Charters, we also offer lobster hauling excursions which will allow you to try your hand at being a lobster fisher! Regardless of the type of trip you book, our experienced and professional crew will provide you with one of the most memorable deep sea fishing adventures available in PEI! We love providing a great experience to customers and seeing them catching their first fish – the excitement is always contagious!
Our boat, the “Morning Mist X”, is 45′, built in 2001 and has been beautifully maintained. We have can 18 people fish out of her comfortably, allowing you and your group the space to fish to your heart’s content. With the Captain’s great knowledge of the area you’ll spend the day on top of the fish. There are on board washrooms and the vessel is inspected annually to meet all safety requirements.
Campbell’s Deep Sea Fishing provides you with everything that you need for an exciting trip out on the deep blue sea, as rods and reels are available for each customer. You are welcome to bring along some snacks and plenty of water. When you do land the “big one”, it is filleted for you to take home and enjoy. All that is left for you to do is invite some friends over, cook it up, and tell them all about “the one that got away” while you enjoy your catch of the day!
The fish on the menu are cod, mackerel and bass. These delicious fish are great fun to catch, and even better to eat! The crew will happily fillet your catch for you after the trip, so you just have to decide how to cook your haul once home.
You will head out a maximum of 7 miles offshore, which makes these trips great for everyone – there is no minimum age for kids, as the Captain believes the parents know best. If they can hold a rod, they are ready to fish. They are sure to have some great stories to tell their friends when they are back at school.
